Hi! I'm new here, and as a smimilarity to most of the others in this community, I am in love with the movie "My Sassy Girl". However, that is pretty much the only korean movie I have ever seen...Any good reccomendations? They would be greatly appreciated :).
i cried when i watched windstruck. LMAO. it features the girl in my sassy girl (Jeon Ji-Hyun) and some guy. the girl played a similar role but with a different twist. i think it was the girl's first movie or something. i hope you enjoy it too.
windstruck is by the same director and is the unofficial companion movie to my sassy girl.
i would recommend My Tutor Friend. funny, but also cute. one of my favorites.
also Too Beautiful to Lie (Don't Believe Her)
Ditto. interesting romantic comedy. simmilar to Il Mare in theme. but has Kim Ha Neul (same girl in My Tutor Friend and Too Beautiful to Lie.)
Il Mare. also has Jeon Ji-Hyun, and is a romantic story about a love across time. realy good movie.
Crazy First Love. funny, sweet and crazy in that way that only Korean movies seem to be able to pull off.
those are some of my favorite korean movies.
also i rather liked Samaria. though my friends hated it.
also if you like scary / weird movies, check out Memento Mori. it was kinda crazy.
just bought Windstruck myself and havent had a chance to watch it, but as much as other people seem to like it you prolly wouldent go wrong.
hope no one will kill me as some of them werent comedy movies. but good korean movies none the less.
I would second my tutor friend of anything with kim ha neul in it for that matter :)
definatly. she is so wonderful.
Windstruck is the sequel some say to MSG. I really love Windstruck. MSG, I didn't really like. It was funny, but the plot lacked a lot. Ji Hyun's acting in Windstruck got much better. Be sure to pick that up!
I agree with the person above with Don't Believe Her. It was my first Korean movie I watched and it was hilarious! I love it. I finished watching My Tutor Friend two days ago and it's one of my favorites to date. I've watched about 15 Korean movies to date.
I didn't really like Ditto. Found it boring and lifeless.

Windstruck is actually really good, but My sassy girl does have a cute little twist, just b ready with tissues if u ever think of sitting down to watch "windstruck" >__
